Restored from 02/12/2019 Come & join us for one or more activity during our festive indulgence weekend at Berrycroft Hub!
On the morning of Friday 13th December learn how to make soaps & bath bombs to treat yourself or gift as beautiful homemade presents. In the evening you can enjoy a interactive talk on the smells we associate with the festive season throughout history whilst enjoying a glass of mulled wine & a mince pie. If history & homemade is something that appeals then join us on Saturday 14th for a cosmetics workshop from Egyptian eye-paint & Roman perfumes, through Tudor sweet bags & Georgian 'powder & paint' to the morale boosting lipstick during WW2. Then to finish our weekend on Sunday 15th we have archaeologists & crafts people here to teach you how to work with jet-like shale, Baltic amber, bone, antler & tin to create unique necklaces inspired by our prehistoric past using traditional tools & methods...
