Viking Cookery Workshop 10am - 4pm Sunday 15 September 2024

Workshop tutor is Craig Brooks, author of the 'Eat like a Viking!' cookbooks.
On this workshop you will get to spend the day with Craig, where he will demonstrate and teach you how to make some of the recipes from his 'Eat like a Viking!' cookbooks.
Whether you’re a keen foodie, reenactor, bushcraft enthusiast or just want to up your BBQ game, this workshop will provide you with the skills to produce a delicious meal. Foraging and how seasonal food can be stored for use at other times of the year will also be discussed.
On this workshop you will learn to make daily staples like butter, cheese & flatbreads. You will find out what Pinnekjot is, discover how to make your own sausages alongside other eatables.
Food preparation and cooking will be done over an open fire using replica viking cookware and knives.
Accommodation is not included but if required it is available within the local area, some suggestions can be found on our 'local accommodation' page - please arrange this yourself.
Refreshments are provided on the day but not lunches.
