Lip work is a traditional method of basket making using straw. With this technique all manner of baskets can be made, as well as skep beehives and even chairs. Traditionally split bramble or willow might be used to bind the straw.
In this course you will use lapping cane with either straw or rushes to make your basket, and we will go over what other materials can be used.
All materials and tools will be provided for this course and professional lip workers Rebecca and Paul Hand are tutoring.
