Egg Tempera Painting - Sunday 17th October 2021 10am - 4pm

This practical one day workshop with artist Simon Barnes will take you through the basic techniques of painting in egg tempera - the primary painting medium of the classical and medieval periods. The course will cover the history of egg tempera painting, mixing your own pigments, surface preparation and basic painting techniques.
As part of the day you will paint a small piece of your own to take home with you.

On this course, please remember that you will be working with raw egg so this workshop is not suitable for anyone with an egg allergy.
