Introduction to Flintknapping workshop Sunday 9th February 2025 10am -4pm
*MAXIMUM NUMBER FOR THIS WORKSHOP IS 10*
This workshop is led by master flintknapper and experimental archaeologist Karl Lee who has over 30 years experience of teaching the manufacture and use of stone tools.
On this introductory workshop you will be learning the basic mechanics of flint and making a stone tool kit. The tool kit will include blade cores, blades, scrapers and basic leaf shaped arrow heads.
Please wear warm clothes as this workshop will be held either outside or in a well ventilated covered space.
Accommodation is not included but if required it is available within the local area, some suggestions can be found on our 'local accommodation' page - please arrange this yourself. Refreshments are provided on the day but not lunches.
DUE TO THIS WORKSHOP REQUIRING A VENTILATED SPACE - PLEASE BRING WARM CLOTHING!!
Toilet and classroom all easily accessible from the car park.
